Orpha A. Okeley, aged 82, of Bluffton, Indiana, passed away on October 7, 2025. Originally from Winamac, she was a cherished member of the Bluffton community for over 30 years. Her family remembers her as a loving mother and grandmother, leaving behind three children: Michael Okeley of Bluffton, Barbara Okeley of Fort Wayne, and Diana Huffar of Bluffton. She is also survived by five grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
Orpha’s life was marked by her devotion to family and her passion for the arts. She enjoyed painting, crafts, and music, which brought joy to herself and those around her. Her husband, Charles Okeley, whom she was married to for 65 years, predeceased her in 2023. She also mourned the loss of her grandson, Bryan Huffar, who passed away in May 2021.
Memorial Services Scheduled
A memorial service will be held in Orpha’s honor at the Roanoke Baptist Church on October 14, 2025. Visitation is set to begin at 11:00 a.m., followed by the service at noon. Friends and family are encouraged to attend to celebrate her life and legacy.
