Surrounded by family and friends during his final moments, Bret’s legacy is one of humor, kindness, and a zest for life that touched everyone he encountered.

Born on September 17, 1990, in Wyoming, Pennsylvania, Bret graduated from Wyoming Area High School in 2009. He pursued a degree in computer development, which set the stage for his career in the theme park and entertainment industry. His passion for adventure led him to Florida, where he became a valued employee at Disney World. Most recently, Bret held a dream position with Froggy’s Fog, where he continued to thrive in an environment that celebrated creativity and fun.

Bret was known for his infectious personality. His humor, characterized by sharp wit and lightheartedness, created an atmosphere of joy and connection. He had a unique ability to bring people together, whether through hosting gatherings or simply sharing a laugh. Friends and family often remarked on how he made every encounter feel special.

In addition to his professional achievements, Bret had a deep love for music of all genres. He often used his talents to enhance social gatherings, ensuring that everyone felt welcome and included. His enthusiasm for life and human connection made him the heart of every room he entered.

Bret is survived by his loving wife, Kristen McKenna Taggart, who is expecting their first child, as well as their dog, Toby. He leaves behind his parents, George and Ann Marie Taggart, his sister, Mari Taggart, and his maternal grandmother, Mary Louise Kuloszewski. Numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins also mourn his loss, demonstrating the profound impact Bret had on those who knew him.

The outpouring of love and support from the community highlights Bret’s enduring legacy of laughter and kindness. His family plans to hold a celebration of his life in Florida in October, inviting all who loved him to remember the joy he brought to their lives.

In lieu of flowers, the family encourages others to honor Bret’s memory by sharing a laugh, dancing to their favorite song, or enjoying a rollercoaster ride—activities that reflect Bret’s spirited approach to life. As friends and family come together to celebrate his life, they will carry forward his message of joy, reminding everyone that even in the heaviest moments, laughter can lighten the load.
