Born in Pittston to the late Robert and Shirley Karosick Kane, Joann dedicated her life to helping others. Her work as a CNA was characterized by her genuine passion for caring for patients and their families, demonstrating a commitment that resonated deeply with those she served. Joann was an active member of St. John’s Lutheran Church in Pittston, where she contributed to her community and forged lasting bonds.
Joann’s pride and joy were her three daughters: Ashley Warrick, Kyley Warrick, and Kailey Warrick. Her fierce protectiveness for them was akin to that of a bear guarding her cubs, showcasing her unwavering dedication to family. Alongside her daughters, Joann cherished her role as a grandmother, affectionately known as ‘Nana.’ Her grandchildren—Quentin, Elliot, Meadow, Neva, and Silas—brought her immense happiness, and she delighted in spoiling them whenever possible.
Joann’s vibrant personality and zest for life left an indelible mark on those around her. Her passion for music was evident, particularly in her love for early 2000s alternative rock, which she often shared with friends and family through her car radio. Joann also found joy in nature, frequently embarking on mountain hikes to explore waterfalls and bask in the sunlight. Her warmth was felt through her invigorating hugs, which provided comfort and a sense of safety to all who experienced them.
