Allen N. Levesque, a respected community member and devoted family man, passed away on November 24, 2025, in Lowell at the age of 77. His death followed a prolonged period of declining health. Born on October 29, 1948, in Van Buren, Maine, Allen was the son of the late Claude and Cecile (Gagnon) Levesque.

A longtime resident of Lowell, Allen also spent significant time in Dracut and Rochester, New Hampshire. He contributed to the local community through his work as a drywall installer and maintenance worker across the greater Lowell area, where he was known for his dedication and skill. Furthermore, he was an active member of the Carpenters Union, highlighting his commitment to his profession.

Allen was a devout member of the former St. Jean Baptiste Parish in Lowell and participated in the CCA Club. His vibrant personality shone through in his many interests, which included bowling, playing cribbage, and gardening. He had a passion for country music and was an enthusiastic supporter of the Boston Bruins, often sharing his love for the team with family and friends.

He is survived by his two children, Sonia Abreu and her husband, Jim, and Andre Levesque and his wife, Tracy. Allen’s legacy continues through his five grandchildren: James and Brian Abreu, Drew Carbonneau, Ava, and Lily Levesque. He leaves behind his former wives, Marie-Beth (Rodrigue) Levesque and Claire (Fournier) Levesque, as well as her children, Michelle Elie and John Elie.

Allen’s family also includes his sisters, Maryline Gagnon and Therese Rodrigue, along with his brother-in-law, Yvon Rodrigue, and his longtime companion, Maryann Beaupre. He was also cherished by sister-in-law Jeanne M. Levesque, and numerous nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by siblings Rolande Vaillancourt, Roger Levesque, Clarence Levesque, and Georgette Levesque, as well as brothers-in-law Percy Gagnon, Delton Vaillancourt, and Vincent Goforth.

Final Farewell Arrangements

In honor of Allen N. Levesque, family and friends are invited to attend a Funeral Mass on December 6, 2025, at 12:00 PM at Ste. Marguerite D’Youville Parish, located at 1340 Lakeview Avenue, Dracut. Following the mass, interment will be private, respecting the family’s wishes.

Arrangements are being managed by Laurin Funeral Home in Lowell. For those wishing to pay tribute, options include sending flowers or planting a living memorial in his memory.
