Reality television star Erin Bates Paine has been admitted to the intensive care unit (ICU) due to severe complications following the birth of her seventh child, Henry Paine. The 34-year-old, known for her role on the show Bringing Up Bates, faced a critical health issue—a severe urinary tract infection (UTI) that developed into septic shock.
In a heartfelt message shared on Instagram, Erin’s husband, Chad Paine, provided an update on her condition. He expressed gratitude for the outpouring of support and prayers from fans and well-wishers. “We wanted to thank each and every one of you for all the prayers and support you have given on our behalf,” Chad wrote. He emphasized that the family is overwhelmed by the kindness shown during this challenging time.
Erin and Chad welcomed Henry into the world just over a week ago. The couple, who married in 2013, has six other children: Carson, Brooklyn, Everly, Holland, Finley, and William. Chad noted that Erin’s labor was longer and more intense than with previous pregnancies, which contributed to her health complications.
Chad’s post revealed the severity of Erin’s condition. “Her labor was longer and more intense than previous births,” he stated. “She has been fighting through it and has been such a light and sweet testimony of grace to nurses, staff, and doctors alike.” Erin is currently receiving treatment in the ICU as medical teams work to address her condition.
The couple’s recent experiences have drawn significant attention and concern from fans, with many expressing their prayers for Erin’s recovery. One supporter commented, “Praying that infection would leave her body in the name of Jesus!! I pray for complete healing over her and for sweet baby Henry in the NICU.” Another added, “Get well soon, Erin.”
Despite the challenges, Chad shared that Henry is doing well in the neonatal intensive care unit (NICU). He expressed his appreciation for the support received and thanked God for their new arrival. “We thank the Lord for carrying us through and for the gift of this precious boy,” Chad wrote.
As the Bates family navigates this difficult period, their supporters remain hopeful for Erin’s swift recovery and the well-being of their newborn son. The family continues to rely on faith and community support during this trying time.
