While I have enjoyed the overall experience, certain aspects do detract from the gameplay. The absence of a sort button in the pocket inventory remains frustrating, especially since a sort function exists in the home inventory. The game requires players to restart conversations with vendors for simple tasks, which can disrupt the flow of play.
Additionally, the local co-op feature, although present, remains locked for the time being. This delay can be disappointing, especially for families eager to play together.
Despite these minor inconveniences, Animal Crossing: New Horizons remains a delightful escape. The pace of the game encourages players to slow down and appreciate their surroundings after a productive day of crafting and building.
