The newly established Punch Line Comedy Club in Irving, Texas, is set to open its doors with an exciting lineup featuring renowned comedian Dave Chappelle. Chappelle will perform four sold-out shows on December 17 and 18, 2025, marking the inaugural event for this latest addition to the Punch Line franchise. First announced in November, this location represents the fifth Punch Line club and the second in Texas, following the opening of the Houston branch in 2024. Situated within the vibrant Toyota Music Factory, the new venue boasts a capacity of 240 seats and aims to host over 350 shows and private events each year. The lineup will feature a mix of high-profile comedians and local talent, ensuring a broad appeal to comedy enthusiasts.
Designed with the theme of comedy as a sport, the club features unique decor, including a wall adorned with signed punching bags and boxing bells from celebrated performers. The menu reflects this theme as well, offering cocktails like the Bellringer, a mix of bourbon, lemonade, and iced tea, alongside creative food options such as the Mic Drop Burger and Homemade Punch Pop Tarts in flavors like bourbon apple and strawberry cream.
Supporting Local Talent and Community Engagement
A standout feature of Punch Line is its commitment to nurturing the local comedy scene. The Irving location will contribute 25 cents from each ticket sold at participating shows to Comedy Gives Back, a nonprofit organization that provides financial assistance to comedians in need. In a show of community spirit, the club recently hosted its first open mic event on December 9, inviting local comedians to perform while also encouraging donations of nonperishable items for the North Texas Food Bank.
In addition to its main showroom, Punch Line includes a versatile space known as The Callback Bar, designed for smaller performances and equipped with a furnished patio.
