Creator Holly Treats, known as Victoria Toplansky in real life, is shaking up modern dating norms with her ambitious project, the “Crush Matrix.” As of now, she has documented a staggering 48,000 dates in her quest to discover whether the perfect partner truly exists. In an exclusive interview with Us Weekly, Treats shared insights into her unique method and the challenges she faces in this extensive dating marathon.

Holly began her project months ago, meticulously tracking each date using a custom-built compatibility matrix. This includes detailed entries that feature the man’s name, astrological sign, location, and various pros and cons. She emphasizes the importance of a substantial sample size for her research, stating, “I have to get a reasonable sample to have accurate data. It is what it is. It’s not pretty all the time to do research.”

As she works towards her target of 50,000 entries, which she hopes to achieve within the next year, Holly maintains an impressive average of more than five dates per day. Her criteria for what constitutes a date in her project are specific. They include phone conversations—where she notes, “If I’m getting you on FaceTime, I’m somewhat sexually attracted to you”—and private chats at parties that she considers an impromptu date.

Despite the sheer volume of her dating experiences, Holly describes her dating life as having “very high highs and very low lows.” One standout memory from Las Vegas includes a dinner at a Michelin star restaurant, although she humorously admits to forgetting some details due to the number of dates she has been on. “Sorry, I go on a lot of dates, so I feel bad. I just remember the whole vibe,” she explained.

Holly recounted another memorable date where her companion fell asleep in the bathroom after drinking too much. “This guy got drunk and was progressively saying ruder and ruder things,” she said, adding that he excused himself to the bathroom and then proceeded to take a nap.

In her quest, Holly has also crossed paths with a few high-profile individuals, although she has chosen not to include them in her “Crush Matrix” to protect their identities. Among the 48,000 entries, she identified that fewer than 400 men are “probably ready for marriage, regardless of whether or not it’s with me,” and around 50 men whom she describes as “super into.”

“I would actively talk to the 48,000 [men] again if they sent me a text,” Holly remarked. “If they made it onto my 48,000 list — because not everyone even made it onto the list — so if they made it onto that list, they’re getting talked to.”

As she navigates her dating journey, Holly, who boasts over 1.6 million followers on Instagram, has gleaned valuable lessons about love and relationships. She candidly stated, “I hate to say it, but dating is a numbers game,” emphasizing the need to move on quickly from interactions that feel inherently wrong.

Through her ambitious undertaking, Holly Treats is not just documenting dates; she is exploring the complexities of modern relationships, offering a unique perspective on what it means to seek connection in today’s world.
