Samuel L. Arbuckle, Jr., a cherished member of the Coatesville, Pennsylvania community, passed away peacefully at home on October 11, 2025. Surrounded by his loving family, Arbuckle was 81 years old at the time of his death. He is survived by his devoted wife, Sandra L. Arbuckle, and six children, including Keith Arbuckle, Darcyle Levenite (Art), Ann Arbuckle, Kelly Hawthorne (David Lynch), Samuel Arbuckle, III, and John Arbuckle.
In addition to his children, Arbuckle leaves behind two stepchildren, David Williamson (Karen) and Lee Ann Johnson (Andrew), along with 14 grandchildren, 23 great-grandchildren, and one great-grandchild expected soon. He was preceded in death by his sister, Barbara Ann Ensley.
A local Celebration of Life will take place at the home of Arbuckle’s daughter, located at 560 Valley View Drive, New Holland, on Sunday, October 19, 2025, from 12:00 to 17:00. Family and friends are encouraged to RSVP via the website of Wentz Funeral Home.
Funeral Arrangements and Community Tribute
Arbuckle’s funeral service is scheduled for Saturday, October 25, 2025, at 11:00 at the Community Church of Oak Orchard, located at 32615 Oak Orchard Road, Millsboro, Delaware. Visitation will begin at 10:00. Following the service, Arbuckle will be interred at the Delaware Veterans Memorial Cemetery, where he will receive military honors for his service to the nation.
