adin-ross-fails-to-dismiss-subpoena-in-megan-thee-stallion-case

Adin Ross has faced a setback in his legal battle related to the defamation case involving Megan Thee Stallion. On September 16, 2023, Ross filed a motion to dismiss a subpoena issued by Megan’s legal team, but Judge Lisette Reid rejected his request, citing procedural issues.

The controversy began earlier in September when Ross recounted an unusual incident to DJ Akademiks. He claimed that a mariachi band was sent to his home in Florida to serve him legal papers. Although the story drew skepticism due to its unusual nature, Ross maintained its authenticity. According to reports, this unconventional method was employed to ensure Ross was served for a deposition in the ongoing case against blogger Milagro Gramz.

Ross’s subpoena served two purposes. It demanded his deposition and required him to provide documents relevant to the case. However, instead of being served directly, Ross’s security guard received the subpoena, leading Ross and his legal team to argue that it was improperly served. They claimed that the subpoena was overly broad, characterizing it as a “fishing expedition.”

In the motion, Ross’s legal team noted, “The Complaint in this action makes no mention of Mr. Ross whatsoever.” They contended that the dispute between Megan Thee Stallion and Milagro Gramz does not involve any facts or legal theories that would implicate Ross or suggest he possesses relevant information.

Despite Ross’s arguments, Judge Reid emphasized the need for him to communicate directly with Megan’s legal team before escalating the matter to the court. This ruling underscores the complexity of legal proceedings in high-profile cases, especially in the entertainment industry.

Ross is not alone in facing legal scrutiny from Megan’s team. DJ Akademiks has also been deposed in the ongoing case, where he publicly called Megan a “liar.” Both Ross and Akademiks have voiced their support for Tory Lanez, who is currently serving a ten-year prison sentence for wounding Megan Thee Stallion in 2020.

This case continues to develop, and the unconventional tactics employed by Megan’s legal team have drawn attention, raising questions about the boundaries of legal service methods in high-stakes celebrity disputes. The outcome of this ongoing legal battle could have significant implications for all parties involved, as well as for public perceptions of the case.
