Samsung Electronics has unveiled its vision for a new era of intelligent living, titled ‘Companion to AI Living,’ at the CES 2026 event held in the Latour Ballroom at the Wynn Las Vegas. This initiative highlights how artificial intelligence (AI) will be integrated into various home appliances and devices to enhance everyday life. The reveal took place during The First Look presentation, where company executives detailed Samsung’s commitment to AI leadership and user-centric technology.
TM Roh, CEO and Head of Samsung’s Device eXperience (DX) Division, emphasized the importance of creating a unified and personalized experience across all Samsung devices. “Samsung is building a more unified, more personal experience across mobile, visual display, home appliances, and services,” he stated. Roh highlighted the company’s global connected ecosystem, which aims to provide meaningful everyday AI experiences for users.
Major Launches and Innovations at CES 2026
Among the standout products showcased was the 130-inch Micro RGB display, which represents a significant advancement in both scale and picture quality. This model features an innovative Micro RGB AI Engine Pro, allowing for precise control over RGB colors. It promises to deliver an unparalleled viewing experience, with the widest spectrum of color ever seen in Samsung TVs.
Samsung introduced its Vision AI Companion (VAC), designed to enhance the overall viewing experience. This AI technology acts as an entertainment companion, assisting users with recommendations for dining and mood settings throughout the home. For sports enthusiasts, the AI Soccer Mode Pro tailors the viewing experience by optimizing picture quality and sound to replicate the excitement of a live stadium.
In addition to enhancing the viewing experience, VAC simplifies meal planning. Users can inquire about recipes related to dishes seen on screen, receiving suggestions that align with health and fitness goals. This multi-device functionality extends to other devices in the home, streamlining the cooking process.
Samsung also launched two new WiFi speakers, the Music Studio 5 and 7, designed to support a broader range of sound system combinations and improve audiovisual quality. The new ultra-thin OLED S95H television, featuring a refined bezel, was also unveiled. Furthermore, the portable projector Freestyle+, powered by VAC, enables users to project content onto various surfaces, including walls and ceilings.
The 2026 TV lineup supports HDR10+ ADVANCED, which enhances brightness and optimizes settings based on the genre. As adoption of HDR10+ grows among major streaming services, Samsung has positioned itself as a leader by launching this feature in its latest products.
Transforming Home Appliances into AI Companions
Samsung’s commitment to redefining home appliances was highlighted by Cheolgi Kim, Executive Vice President and Head of the Digital Appliances (DA) Division. He stated that the company aims to evolve from merely providing home appliances to creating true home companions that alleviate daily chores. The Family Hub refrigerator has been upgraded with AI Vision, built using Google Gemini, transforming it into the centerpiece of the smart home.
The Family Hub now features a gamified tool called “What’s for Today?” that provides recipe suggestions based on the ingredients available in the refrigerator. Additionally, the new FoodNote feature generates weekly reports on users’ food intake patterns, while Voice ID technology personalizes the content displayed on the Family Hub screen for each family member.
Samsung has also introduced the Bespoke AI Laundry Combo, which eliminates the need to transfer laundry loads. This model offers enhanced features, including a super-speed cycle and improved drying performance. Another innovation, the Bespoke AI AirDresser, utilizes powerful jets of air and steam to eliminate wrinkles from clothing.
Samsung’s new Bespoke AI Jet Bot Steam Ultra recognizes liquids such as coffee and juice, enhancing user convenience in maintaining a clean home.
The ambitious roadmap presented at CES 2026 showcases Samsung’s focus on creating a smarter, more intuitive AI-first ecosystem that could redefine how users interact with their homes and digital lives. By integrating AI into daily routines, Samsung aims to elevate the user experience, making technology not just an accessory but an integral part of modern living.
