A new jazz club is set to open in Hell’s Kitchen, taking over the current location of Swing 46 at 349 West 46th Street. The application for the establishment was submitted by Jazzcultural LLC, indicating the club will function as a restaurant, club, and bar.

The new venue plans to feature 49 indoor tables with a total capacity of 84 guests, along with a stand-up bar that will accommodate 13 patrons. Additionally, the club intends to offer outdoor seating, featuring eight tables that can seat 16 people. According to the submitted plans, the club will provide a limited food menu that includes bar-style options such as cheeseburgers, grilled cheese sandwiches, BLTs, wings, fries, and mac & cheese.

Operational Details and Leadership

The proposed hours of operation for the club are from 12:00 p.m. to 4:00 a.m. daily. The concept is spearheaded by Spike Wilner, a well-known figure in the New York City jazz scene. Wilner is not only a musician but also an experienced club owner, having established two successful venues, Smalls Jazz Club and Mezzrow, both located in the West Village.

As of now, the timeline for the club’s opening remains uncertain. Efforts to contact Wilner for further comment were unsuccessful.

The introduction of this new jazz club is anticipated to enhance the vibrant cultural landscape of Hell’s Kitchen, known for its rich history in music and entertainment. With Wilner’s established reputation, the venue is expected to attract both jazz enthusiasts and casual visitors looking for a lively night out in New York City.
