Equinox is set to open its inaugural location in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, at Ombelle Fort Lauderdale, a new mixed-use development situated at 300 NE 3rd Avenue in the Flagler Village neighborhood. This 35,000-square-foot fitness facility will occupy the first two floors of the North Tower and is designed to offer a comprehensive wellness experience featuring group fitness classes, personal training, and spa services.
Dependable Equities, the developer behind Ombelle, expressed enthusiasm about the partnership. Isaac Schlesinger, principal at Dependable Equities, stated, “We are thrilled to partner with Equinox to bring their fitness and lifestyle experience to Ombelle Fort Lauderdale. Equinox is a world-class fitness and lifestyle brand that aligns perfectly with our vision for Ombelle, bringing an unparalleled wellness experience to the heart of Fort Lauderdale.”
Residents of Ombelle will benefit from a “founding membership,” which includes a complimentary one-year membership. This membership grants unlimited access to classes, on-demand training, and health advisory services. Additionally, members can enjoy a full-service spa, personalized coaching powered by the EQX OS platform, and a dedicated juice bar within the club.
Ombelle Fort Lauderdale comprises two towers that will rise 43 stories tall, hosting 775 condominiums. Designed by ODA, the development will feature over 11,000 square feet of ground-floor retail and more than 100,000 square feet of indoor and outdoor amenities. Units will range from 465-square-foot studios to three-bedroom residences exceeding 1,400 square feet, with penthouses available up to 2,600 square feet. Prices for these homes will start from the $400,000s.
The residences will include smart-building technology, custom-designed kitchens and bathrooms, open-concept living spaces, and 10-foot ceilings in main areas. Prospective buyers can also choose fully furnished packages, with the option to rent units for a minimum of 30 days. The 10th-floor amenity level, curated by Arch Amenities, will feature a landscaped indoor lounge, a chef’s kitchen, a dining room, a coworking suite, a library, a music room, a creative arts studio, and a game lounge.
In addition to the Equinox fitness center, the South Tower will house another fitness facility, a wellness lounge complete with an outdoor Zen garden, a children’s playroom, and resort-style pools and cabanas. Jeff Weinhaus, executive vice president of development at Equinox, noted, “The opening of Equinox in Fort Lauderdale highlights the strong demand for high-performance luxury offerings in South Florida. We’re excited to partner with Ombelle to expand our portfolio at this exceptional location.”
Ombelle Fort Lauderdale is scheduled to break ground in the fourth quarter of 2025, with expected completion in 2028. Douglas Elliman Development Marketing is managing the exclusive sales and marketing efforts for this ambitious project.
