URGENT UPDATE: Australian pop trio Blusher has just electrified fans with their debut performance on triple j’s iconic Like A Version segment, covering Kesha’s hit “Your Love Is My Drug.” The performance, which aired earlier today, showcases Blusher’s unique twist on the beloved track, blending shimmering harmonies with live instrumentation.
In a heartfelt tribute, the Melbourne-based group—comprised of Miranda Ward, Jade Ingvarson-Favretto, and Lauren Coutts—connected their roots to Kesha, stating their shared love for her music was instrumental in forming the band in 2021. Ingvarson-Favretto emphasized, “There’s something about the shameless love of pop music that Kesha has really just always been an advocate for. It’s kind of our guiding light.”
Blusher’s rendition of the 2010 classic reimagines the original’s electro-pop vibes with dreamy, glitter-infused production. During the performance, the trio dazzled audiences with choreographed moves, layered harmonies, and live drums, offering a fresh take on the iconic track. Coutts captured attention by delivering Kesha’s memorable rap bridge, ensuring the essence of the song remained intact while infusing it with their signature style.
This performance coincided with the release of Blusher’s second EP, Racer. Alongside their Kesha cover, they also performed their original track “Last Man Standing” live at the triple j studios, further establishing their presence in the pop music scene.
Meanwhile, Kesha continues to make waves with her latest studio album, which debuted at the top of several Billboard charts, including Top Album Sales and Top Dance Albums, marking a significant milestone as her first independently released work through Kesha Records and distributed by Warner Music Group.
In a developing story, Kesha has also announced a return to Australia for her T–ts Out Tour in late February 2026. She will perform in major cities including Brisbane, Melbourne, Adelaide, and Perth. Notably, her tour will not make a stop in Sydney, raising questions about her potential involvement in the upcoming Sydney Gay and Lesbian Mardi Gras festivities.
