takkion-expands-warehouse-space-for-wind-energy-components-now

BREAKING NEWS: Takkion has just announced a major expansion at Fuller Industries Inc’s warehouse in Great Bend, Kansas, bolstering its operations to support renewable energy projects across the United States. This urgent development involves leasing an additional 30,000 square feet, increasing Takkion’s total footprint to 80,000 square feet in the facility.

Takkion, a Casper, Wyoming-based logistics company, is now housing massive wind turbine components weighing up to 60,000 pounds each. This expansion is critical as the nation ramps up efforts in renewable energy, with parts destined for various upcoming wind-power initiatives. “We are excited about this growth,” said Takkion Site Manager Nick Coghill.

The additional space at Fuller is not only a win for Takkion but also a significant revenue boost for Fuller Industries. General Manager Joe Mann confirmed, “This way, unused space gets utilized. It is a win-win for us and those we serve.” This partnership highlights the growing collaboration opportunities in the region, especially with companies like Great Bend-based Red Barn Pet Foods that have previously leased space.

Fuller Industries, known for its extensive 600,000 square feet facility, has been working with Great Bend Economic Development Inc. since last fall to attract new tenants. However, the company is also in the midst of a major cleanup, removing decades of obsolete machinery to enhance operational efficiency. Mann emphasized, “We are shuffling things around, consolidating and reorganizing our production spaces.”

The effort to clear space involves selling, recycling, and scrapping decades-old industrial equipment, some dating back over 50 years. Mann stated, “We have a lot of stuff out there. It all served its purpose back in the day, but now, most of it is no longer of use.” This critical reorganization aims to pave the way for new product lines while streamlining workflow.

As Takkion’s expansion at Fuller Industries continues to unfold, the implications for the renewable energy sector are profound. With increased logistical capabilities, Takkion is set to play a pivotal role in facilitating the growth of wind energy initiatives nationwide.

Stay tuned for more updates on this developing story as both companies move forward in reshaping the industrial landscape of Great Bend and supporting green energy initiatives across the country.
