James “Jimmy” Arnold Morris, a beloved figure known for his warmth and generosity, passed away on July 21, 2025, at the age of 53. His departure has left a profound impact on family and friends, who remember him as a source of joy and faith in their lives. Morris is now reunited with family members who preceded him, providing solace to those he left behind.

Born on October 29, 1971, in Virginia, Jimmy was the tenth child of Esau Ray and Florence Smith Morris. Throughout his life, he touched many hearts with his exuberant spirit and welcoming nature. Known for his unwavering support of the Washington Redskins, Morris remained a loyal fan despite the team’s name change. His passion for life extended to his love for wrestling, which he enjoyed sharing with friends and family.

Morris’s family lineage is rich with cherished relationships. He was preceded in death by his parents, his grandmother Sudie Morris, and several close relatives, including his brother David and sister-in-law Doris. He is survived by a large family network, including his siblings Jessie McGrath (Joe), Seabrook Morris (Sarah), Barbara Prince (Chris), Billy Morris (Marcey), Joe Morris (Lori), and many nieces and nephews who will remember him fondly.

A funeral service is scheduled for Sunday, July 27, 2025, at 3 p.m. at the Lower King & Queen Baptist Church, located at 204 Timber Branch Rd, Mascot, VA 23108. Friends and family are invited to gather from 2 p.m. to 3 p.m. prior to the service. Following the service, interment will take place in the church cemetery.
