UPDATE: A desperate search is underway for 17-year-old Amie Siguenza, who has been missing for over five weeks and may have traveled more than 800 miles from her home in Everett, Washington, to Merced County, California. The National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC) issued an urgent appeal for public assistance as they seek to locate the teenager.

Amie was last seen on June 11 at 2:32 a.m. when she left her home, captured on surveillance video. Described as 5 feet 4 inches tall and weighing 134 pounds, she has black hair and black eyes. Authorities believe she might be in the local area or possibly in Livingston, California, but they are uncertain of her reasons for heading to California.

The urgency of the situation has escalated as Amie’s family grows increasingly concerned for her safety. “Amie has never left home before and has not reached out to any family or friends since she vanished, which is very unlike her,” said NCMEC in a statement. They are pleading for Amie to return home, stating, “Amie, please call home and let us know that you are safe.”

Anyone with information regarding Amie’s whereabouts is urged to contact NCMEC at 1-800-THE-LOST (1-800-843-5678) or the Everett Police Department at 1-425-257-8400.

As this story develops, authorities are working tirelessly to bring Amie back home safely. Share this information widely to help spread the word and increase the chances of locating her. The community’s awareness could make a critical difference in finding Amie Siguenza.
