URGENT UPDATE: The highly anticipated 2025 Wild & Wacky Art Adventure is just around the corner! This free art festival for children aged 3 to 10 and their families will take place on Saturday, August 2, from 9 a.m. to Noon at Nipper Park, near Hannibal’s Rotary Pavilion.

This year marks the 25th Anniversary of the beloved event, themed “Under the Sea.” The Hannibal Arts Council is teaming up with local organizations, businesses, and individuals to create a vibrant community experience that promises to be unforgettable.

Festival-goers can expect exciting activities including a tie-dye station and the return of the popular “Box Town” and “Drum Circle.” Children will have the opportunity to engage in hands-on projects related to the marine theme, such as painting seashells, folding sting rays, creating wax resist sea creature scenes, crafting paper roll fish, and making tin foil fish.

Adding to the excitement, the Hannibal Public Library will host a special booth featuring a mermaid project, while the Master Naturalists will provide information about Missouri’s local turtles.

The Wild & Wacky Art Adventure is designed to foster creativity and strengthen family bonds through interactive art activities. Last year, over 300 children participated in this enriching event, and organizers expect even greater attendance this time around.
