Ariana Biermann, a familiar face in reality television, is stepping into a new chapter of her life. The star, who first gained prominence on The Real Housewives of Atlanta through her mother, Kim Zolciak, is now showcasing her journey as a young adult in the new series Next Gen NYC, which premiered on June 3, 2025. This latest venture marks a significant transition for Ariana, who has long been in the public eye.

Ariana and her sister, Brielle Biermann, were just children when their mother joined the cast of The Real Housewives of Atlanta in 2008. Growing up amidst the drama of reality television, they became accustomed to the spotlight. Over the years, Ariana carved out her own identity, gaining popularity as a social media influencer and appearing on the family spinoff, Don’t Be Tardy, which aired from 2012 to 2020.

In the upcoming series, Ariana aims to present a new perspective on her life, focusing on her experiences following graduation. “When our moms were on Housewives, we were kids. A lot of the time, people still think I’m 12 years old,” she explained in an interview with Us Weekly in April 2025. “They’re like, ‘Why are you wearing a bikini?’ I’m like, ‘Girl, I’m 23. I’m actually grown up now.’”

Documenting Growth and Change

Ariana’s decision to participate in Next Gen NYC stems from a desire to share her evolution with viewers. “I filmed with my family for forever and then coming into a new city, reconnecting in other friendships from when we were literally children … I’m excited for people to see our side,” she remarked. In her new environment, Ariana hopes audiences will gain insight into who she and her peers are as adults.

Reflecting on her past, Ariana’s journey has been marked by significant milestones. In 2011, she was just a typical child attending birthday parties, such as the celebration of Reginae Carter in Atlanta. By 2017, Ariana took a break from high school to explore Venice, Italy, showcasing her adventurous spirit.

In 2019, Ariana faced challenges related to her education. Although she was accepted into Arizona State University, her mother indicated that the uncertainty caused by the coronavirus pandemic might alter those plans. “I think with maybe the corona and kind of not knowing what’s going on with schooling, she might go to Georgia here,” Kim shared during a segment of Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen.

From Graduation to New Beginnings

Ariana graduated from high school in May 2020, celebrating a virtual ceremony. Her mother praised her accomplishments, noting, “You maintained straight A’s (a couple B’s) here and there and filmed all 12 years during your schooling.” Kim encouraged her daughter to pursue her dreams and stay true to herself, reflecting a supportive family dynamic.

In 2022, Ariana blossomed in her personal life, publicly expressing her love for boyfriend Hudson McLeroy. On his birthday, she shared heartfelt sentiments on social media, stating, “I’m so thankful I get to love you, and to experience your love. It’s one of a kind.”

Despite family challenges, including the public struggles of her parents, Kim and Kroy Biermann, Ariana maintained a focus on her friendships and personal growth. By 2024, she transitioned from Atlanta to New York City, where she began pursuing her passion for fashion design. “My first NYFW as a resident 🥹,” she announced on Instagram, highlighting her enthusiasm for her new life in the city.

As Ariana Biermann embarks on this new phase in her career and personal life, her journey reflects the complexities of growing up in the public eye. With the premiere of Next Gen NYC, audiences can expect to see her navigate adulthood while reconnecting with old friends and forming new relationships. Through her story, Ariana hopes to inspire others who are also finding their paths in a changing world.
