On January 23, 2026, at 10:55 a.m., an assault with a dangerous weapon occurred in the 600 block of Mocksville Avenue. Just hours later, another assault was reported in the 500 block of Lash Drive at 5:45 p.m., raising alarms over potential violence in the area.
