The United States Olympic & Paralympic Committee (USOPC) has officially announced the roster for Team USA, featuring a remarkable lineup of **232 athletes** set to compete at the **2026 Winter Olympics** in Milan Cortina, which commence on **February 4, 2026**. In a statement, USOPC CEO **Sarah Hirshland** expressed pride in the team, highlighting their dedication and the supportive communities behind each athlete.

“Today we proudly introduce the 2026 U.S. Olympic Team — a group of extraordinary athletes whose commitment, perseverance, and spirit reflect the very best of Team USA,” Hirshland said. She emphasized the importance of community support, stating that no athlete reaches this significant moment without the backing of those who believe in them.

This year’s roster showcases a wealth of experience, including **98 athletes** who have previously participated in the Olympics. Notably, **seven athletes** will make their fifth Olympic appearance: **Evan Bates** in figure skating, **Nick Baumgartner** in snowboarding, **Faye Thelen** (formerly Faye Gulini) in snowboarding, **Kaillie Humphries** in bobsled, **Hilary Knight** in ice hockey, **Elana Meyers Taylor** in bobsled, and **Lindsey Vonn** in alpine skiing.

The team also includes **ten athletes** competing for the fourth time and **22 returning for their third Olympic Games**. Among them are **33 returning Olympic medalists** and **18 Olympians** who collectively hold **22 gold medals**. With **232 athletes**, this roster is set to be the largest U.S. Olympic squad in history, surpassing the previous record of **228 athletes** at the **2018 Winter Olympics** in PyeongChang.
