Mr. Edward J. Hogan, a longtime resident of Franklin, NH, passed away on January 9, 2024, at the age of 73. Known for his dedication to family and community, Hogan had a significant impact on those around him during his lifetime.
Born to Edward and Ella Hogan, he was raised in Tewksbury, MA, where he graduated from Tewksbury High School in 1970. Following high school, Hogan pursued higher education at Suffolk University before embarking on a successful career in the automotive industry. Over the course of more than 30 years, he worked with companies such as Walker Mufflers, Tenneco Automotive, and ATP Automotive. After years of extensive travel, he transitioned to a role at Stafford Oil Company, where he continued until his retirement.
Hogan’s commitment to his community was evident in his active participation in local sports. He was a passionate sports fan who frequently volunteered at his children’s games and practices. His involvement extended to the Franklin Booster Club, where he played a crucial role in supporting local athletes and fostering community spirit.
He is survived by his daughter, Jen Olejarz, and her husband, Aaron, of Bedford, NH; his son, Jon Hogan, and his wife, Annemarie, of Derry, NH; and four grandchildren: Reed and Abrey Olejarz, and Harper and Izzy Hogan. He also leaves behind a sister, Elaine Hogan, of Tewksbury, MA; a brother and sister-in-law, Kevin and Debbie Hogan, of Chelmsford, MA; a sister-in-law, Amy Pigeon, of Newburyport, MA; and three nieces.
Visitation services will be held on Tuesday, January 20, 2024, from 16:00 to 18:00 at Thibault-Neun Funeral Home, located at 143 Franklin Street, Franklin, NH. A spring burial will take place at Franklin Cemetery in Franklin, NH.
