Jane Lewandowski, a beloved member of the Trapper Creek community in Alaska, passed away peacefully at home on January 10, 2026, after a brave struggle with cancer. Her death marks a profound loss for family and friends who cherished her vibrant spirit and warm heart.

Born in Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania, Jane was raised in Bear Creek, the daughter of the late Thomas Mosley and Jane Mosley-Bettica. She graduated from James M. Coughlin High School in Wilkes-Barre in 1984 and later attended Empire Beauty School, where she honed her skills in the beauty industry.

Throughout her life, Jane found joy and purpose in her community, particularly at the River of Life Church in Trapper Creek. She actively participated in church activities, fostering friendships through potluck dinners and celebrating milestones with heartfelt cards for her fellow parishioners. Her contributions to the church created a sense of belonging that many valued deeply.

Jane is survived by her husband, Jason Kresge, and her two sons, Steven Lewandowski from Avoca, Pennsylvania, and Michael Lewandowski and his wife, Cassidy, from Largo, Florida. Additional family members include her stepfather, Fred Bettica, of Drums, Pennsylvania; brother Thomas Mosley and his wife, Debra; niece Abigail Kryeski; and nephews Parker Mosley and Nicholas Kryeski. She also leaves behind several aunts, uncles, and cousins who will miss her dearly.

A celebration of Jane’s life is planned for a future date, allowing friends and family to honor her memory together. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to the River of Life Church at PO Box 13406, Trapper Creek, AK 99683.
