UPDATE: Online entry is now officially open for the highly anticipated SpeedFest 2026, set to take place at Cordele Motor Speedway on January 23-24, 2026. With just one month to go, racing enthusiasts are gearing up for this season-opening event, renowned for showcasing the finest short track competitors across the nation.
The two-day racing extravaganza will feature the ASA Southern Super Series for Super Late Models, alongside the Southern Pro Series for Pro Late Models. Additionally, the weekend will include thrilling races from INEX Legends and Bandoleros, promising an action-packed four-division show.
On-track activities kick off with an optional open test day on Thursday, January 22, running from 12:00 PM to 4:00 PM. Fans can look forward to practice and qualifying for all four divisions on Friday, January 23, followed by Feature races set to begin at 1:00 PM on Saturday, January 24.
Widely considered the unofficial start to the racing season, SpeedFest first debuted in 2005 at USA International Speedway, before moving to Lanier Speedway in 2009, and finding its permanent home at Cordele Motor Speedway in 2012. The upcoming event will mark the 21st running of this celebrated competition.
Over the years, SpeedFest has seen victories from some of the sport’s biggest names, including Kyle Busch, Chase Elliott, and Bubba Pollard, who has dominated the event in recent years with wins in each of the last four races at Cordele. The inclusion of the Pro Late Model class since 2009 has also attracted impressive talent, with past winners featuring notable drivers like John Hunter Nemechek and Casey Roderick.
