Among those promoted in the New York Army National Guard, Michael Murashowe from Port Ewen was elevated to the rank of sergeant on November 13. He is assigned to Bravo Company, part of the National Guard Recruiting & Retention Battalion.
Other promotions include Raymond Guante of Rosendale, who advanced to the rank of private on November 19, and Tomas Swider from Wallkill, now a specialist as of November 21. Swider serves in Delta Company, First Battalion, 69th Infantry Regiment. Additionally, Axel Vazquez of Wallkill was promoted to private first class on November 5, while Jackeline Monroy Lemus of Saugerties and Matthew Montalvo of Hurley both achieved the rank of private on November 21 and November 19, respectively. Both are stationed with Bravo Company, Recruiting & Retention Battalion.
In the New York Air National Guard, four individuals from the 105th Airlift Wing were recognized for their service. Anna Miller and Robert Stanich, both from Saugerties and Gardiner respectively, were promoted to master sergeant on November 1. Isis Podgorskaya of Highland received the same promotion on November 13. Zaruma Schmitt of Pine Bush was promoted to staff sergeant on November 1.
