The Anita McCoy Dance Studio is set to present its annual Christmas recital, titled “Christmas Love,” this Sunday, December 10, 2023, at 5:15 p.m.. The performance will take place at the Lou Del Pizzo Auditorium located within Cańon City High School, situated at 1313 College Ave.

The recital promises to be a festive spectacle, featuring a range of performances set to classic Christmas tunes. Students will demonstrate their talents across various dance styles, including tap dancing, gymnastics, jazz, lyrical music, tumbling, and contemporary dance. Tickets for the event are priced at $12 for adults and $6 for seniors and children aged six to twelve. Admission is free for children under five years old.

New Classes at The Artists’ Gallery

In addition to the dance recital, The Artists’ Gallery will offer several art classes throughout December. Aspiring artists can learn from Frank Ventura, who will guide students in creating an 8 x 10 landscape watercolor painting of a cabin nestled among aspen trees. Classes are scheduled for December 10, 12, 16, 20, 22, 27, and 30, running from 10:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.. Each class costs $60, and all necessary supplies will be provided. Class sizes are limited to five students to ensure personalized instruction.

Additionally, Rose Starling will conduct a class focused on painting a moonlit barn. This session will take place on Saturdays, with time slots available from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. and 2:30 p.m. to 6:00 p.m.. The cost for this class is $65, with all supplies included. Class sizes are restricted to six participants.
