Resideo Technologies, Inc. has announced the sale of its Grid Services demand response business to EnergyHub, a company specializing in grid-edge flexibility solutions. This transaction, revealed on December 2, 2025, allows Resideo to concentrate on its core offerings in residential control and sensing products.
Located in Scottsdale, Arizona, Resideo is recognized globally for its technology-driven products that serve residential markets. The sale of the Grid Services division, which primarily assists utility clients in managing energy demand, is a strategic move to streamline operations. Following the sale, Resideo will maintain its ability to control energy loads in homes by integrating its thermostats and other products with third-party demand response platforms.
EnergyHub’s platform is established as a trusted resource by over 120 utilities, collectively serving more than 55 million customers. The acquisition enhances EnergyHub’s capacity to manage connected devices such as thermostats, electric vehicles, and batteries from a single Edge Distributed Energy Resource Management System (DERMS). This integration aims to provide utilities with reliable and cost-effective services for their customers.

The specific financial terms of the transaction have not been disclosed. However, Resideo confirmed that the divestiture will not significantly impact its financial outlook for 2025, as outlined in its previous statements. The company plans to allocate the proceeds from the sale toward general corporate purposes, adhering to its existing capital allocation priorities.
