Following South Florida’s decisive victory over Rice with a score of 52-3 on November 30, 2025, Golesh addressed the situation during the post-game news conference. He emphasized his desire to focus on finishing the season strong, stating, “I told our team on Wednesday night when all that stuff came out, that all I ask is for an opportunity to finish the season the right way. I’ve not had the opportunity to process any of it.”
Golesh expressed frustration regarding the rumors, particularly given that this season has been one of his best at USF. “When you have success in this profession, everyone tries to move you along. I get it, I understand it,” he explained. I told them that I didn’t put it out and it wasn’t true. And it wasn’t true. I asked for some time after we win this game to process everything that’s going on,” Golesh said.
