NYC Health + Hospitals/Woodhull officially inaugurated its newly renovated hemodialysis unit on March 11, 2024. This significant upgrade, covering approximately 3,500 square feet, aims to enhance patient comfort and clinical efficiency. The redesigned suite boasts a modern layout that facilitates patient flow and includes four dedicated hemodialysis bays, expanded utility and equipment rooms, along with upgraded lighting and infrastructure.

The renovation also features advanced HVAC and water treatment systems, which provide improved reliability and safety for patients undergoing treatment. Althea Senior-Morris, Chief Nursing Officer at NYC Health + Hospitals/Woodhull, expressed the importance of this new facility, stating, “This new area, in addition to being a life-sustaining treatment area, is also a place where our patients can receive compassionate, high-quality care in a setting that truly supports their needs.”
