The Young Bucks have expressed their desire for Chris Jericho to remain with All Elite Wrestling (AEW) as speculation about his contract status intensifies. In an interview with Adam’s Apple, the Bucks discussed the possibility that Jericho might leave AEW and return to WWE when his current contract expires at the start of 2026.

“We want him to stay,” said Nick Jackson, emphasizing Jericho’s significance as a founding member of AEW. His brother, Matt Jackson, added, “I love Chris Jericho.” They acknowledged uncertainty regarding Jericho’s current mindset, noting that he is taking time off to reflect on his future.

The Young Bucks alongside Jericho played pivotal roles in AEW’s successful launch in 2019. Jericho was the inaugural AEW World Champion, establishing a strong foundation for the promotion. His potential return to WWE, which he last departed in 2018, is a major talking point among wrestling fans and insiders.

Since taking a break from AEW programming in April, Jericho has remained tight-lipped about his next steps. He recently garnered attention for praising TNA Wrestling, suggesting it has emerged as a significant contender in the wrestling landscape following their Bound for Glory event.

AEW’s founder, Tony Khan, has publicly expressed his hope to retain Jericho, underscoring the wrestler’s importance to the organization. The ongoing discussions about Jericho’s future highlight the dynamic nature of professional wrestling, where talent moves between promotions and the landscape shifts frequently.

As the situation unfolds, fans and wrestling professionals alike will be watching closely to see if Jericho decides to extend his tenure with AEW or embark on a new chapter with WWE.
