Buffalo Bills wide receiver Keon Coleman has been declared inactive for the upcoming game against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers on November 5, 2023. Reports indicate that Coleman missed a team meeting on Friday morning, leading to his exclusion from the lineup as a disciplinary measure.

Despite having participated fully in practice throughout the week, Coleman will not take the field in Orchard Park, N.Y. He currently ranks second on the Bills with 32 receptions for 330 yards and three touchdowns over the course of nine games this season. This situation is not unprecedented for the 22-year-old, who was also benched for parts of two games during his rookie campaign in 2024 due to similar disciplinary issues.

Team Adjustments Ahead of Game

With Coleman sidelined, the Bills have made adjustments to their receiving corps. Gabe Davis has been elevated from the practice squad and is set to participate in his first game since recovering from a torn meniscus sustained while with the Jacksonville Jaguars in November.

The Bills (6-3) have also listed several other players as inactive for this matchup. Tight end Dalton Kincaid, the team’s leading touchdown receiver with four, along with wide receiver Elijah Moore, linebacker Shaq Thompson, cornerback Ja’Marcus Ingram, defensive tackle Phidarian Mathis, and offensive tackle Chase Lundt will not be available.

On the other side, the Buccaneers (6-3) have also declared key players inactive, including wide receiver Chris Godwin, running back Bucky Irving, guards Ben Bredeson and Elijah Klein, defensive lineman C.J. Brewer, and edge rushers Haason Reddick and Markees Watts.

Both teams aim to bolster their playoff positions as they approach the mid-point of the season, making this matchup critical for their aspirations.
