The young male thief entered the store around 20 minutes before the theft, engaging with store manager Anthony Montes and asking questions about sizes and products. Montes shared with KTLA that the suspect appeared friendly and local, which made the situation more disconcerting. “I try to show everyone here great customer service and we’re a new business,” Montes explained. “He just kept asking for sizes of different shoes.”
