Jackson Smith, a senior from Hampton High School, achieved an impressive second place at the TSSAA Class A State Cross Country Championship held on November 6-7, 2025. Competing at Shelby Farms Park in Memphis, Smith completed the race in a time of 16 minutes, 30.14 seconds.
The championship saw fierce competition, with Vaughn Bounds, a sophomore from Dresden High School, taking first place. Bounds finished the race in an outstanding time of 16:18.79, demonstrating remarkable endurance and speed.
