During the annual Customer Service Week, which took place from October 6-10, 2025, Entergy recognized the hard work of its employees dedicated to supporting customers and communities. This week-long celebration highlighted the company’s commitment to placing customers at the core of its operations, reinforcing its mission to provide safe, reliable, and affordable energy.
Honoring Commitment to Service
Among those celebrated was Dashuan Armstrong, a customer service manager based in Port Arthur, Texas. Armstrong, who joined Entergy in 2023, brings over a decade of leadership experience from his previous role as a store manager at Target and eight years of service in the military. His diverse background equips him with skills essential for effective customer engagement.
“Every day is different,” Armstrong noted. “You never know what you’re going to run into, but the goal is always the same: find a solution.” His dedication to helping customers, whether through phone interactions or community support, is evident in his approach to service. Armstrong finds fulfillment in transforming challenging situations into positive outcomes, emphasizing the importance of multitasking and understanding various perspectives.
“The best advice I’ve received is to not take things personally,” Armstrong shared. “If you listen, and show you’re there to help, you can turn that frustration into trust.”
Building Trust Through Service
Armstrong was not the only employee honored during the week. Corrin Barrow, another customer service manager, was also recognized for her contributions to the company and its customers. The emphasis on customer service during this week serves as a reminder of the dedication that employees like Armstrong and Barrow exhibit in their daily roles.
According to Stuart Barrett, vice president of customer service for Entergy Texas, “As we recognize Customer Service Week, it’s important to remember that great customer service is about more than solving problems; it’s about building trust and lasting relationships.” His appreciation for the teams that work tirelessly to make a difference for customers highlights the human element behind the company’s operations.
The celebration not only honors individual achievements but also reinforces Entergy’s commitment to customer-centric service. The initiatives undertaken by the company aim to create a positive impact within the communities it serves, underscoring the vital role of customer service in the energy sector.
As Customer Service Week comes to a close, Entergy continues to promote a culture of empathy, reliability, and care, ensuring that employees are recognized for their essential roles in maintaining customer satisfaction. The dedication shown by Armstrong, Barrow, and their colleagues exemplifies the core values that drive Entergy forward.
