
Minnie Mae Coolbaugh Miller, a cherished member of her community and family, passed away on September 28, 2025, at her home in Dallas, Pennsylvania. She lived a remarkable life that spanned a century, leaving behind a legacy of love, family, and cherished memories.
Born on May 28, 1925, to Charles and Emma Synder Coolbaugh, Minnie grew up in a farming family where she developed skills that would become integral to her identity. Renowned for her baking and cooking, the aroma of her homemade bread was a familiar delight that drew the neighborhood children to her kitchen.
Minnie graduated from Kingston Township High School, where she excelled in sports and developed a lifelong passion for the outdoors. Her adventurous spirit extended beyond the kitchen; she was an avid hunter and took great pride in her collection of trophies, a testament to her skill and dedication.
Each morning, Minnie engaged in crossword puzzles, showcasing her sharp mind, while her evenings were often spent watching Jeopardy and Wheel of Fortune. Family gatherings were a cornerstone of her life, often filled with laughter, storytelling, and spirited card games, which she frequently won. For decades, she also took on the responsibility of preparing Thanksgiving dinner for over twenty family members, a tradition that underscored her commitment to family unity.
Minnie was active in her faith community, attending Grace Community Church and previously serving at East Dallas Methodist Church as Superintendent of Sunday Schools. Her devotion to her church and family was central to her life, reflecting her values and commitment to serving others.
She is survived by her children: Charles (Michelle) Miller of Sinking Spring, PA; Kenneth (Nancy) Miller of Wyoming, PA; Robert Miller of Dallas, PA; Constance (Jeffery) Fleming of Catawissa, PA; Barbara (David) Buck of Danville, PA; and Thomas (Miriam) Miller of Blue Bell, PA. Additionally, she leaves behind 17 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren, and 3 great-great-grandchildren, along with her brother, William Coolbaugh, and sister-in-law, Iva Coolbaugh.
Minnie was preceded in death by her husband, Elias Miller, her sisters, and brothers, as well as her great-grandson, Elias David Eli Buck. She will be remembered fondly by her family and friends as a source of strength and warmth.
Funeral services are scheduled for Friday, October 3, 2025, at 12:00 PM at the Curtis L. Swanson Funeral Home in Pikes Creek, with Pastor Dan Budgick of Grace Community Church officiating. Visitation will be held from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM prior to the service. Interment will take place at Idetown Cemetery in Lehman Township.
