The ABAC Tribute Series is set to present a vibrant tribute to the legendary Jimmy Buffett on October 21, 2025, at Howard Auditorium in Tifton. A1A, known as the official and original Jimmy Buffett tribute band, will bring a lively beach atmosphere to the performance, captivating fans of all ages.
Founded in 1992, A1A has garnered a significant following across the United States, performing for a variety of high-profile clients and countless Parrot Heads. According to a press release from Abraham Baldwin Agricultural College (ABAC), the band’s commitment to honoring Buffett’s legacy and their dynamic energy has established A1A as the longest-running tribute show dedicated to the iconic musician.
Wayne Jones, director of Arts Connection, emphasized the band’s unique credentials, stating, “This fabulous group out of Atlanta is the only Jimmy Buffett tribute band ever endorsed by Jimmy Buffett himself.” This endorsement sets A1A apart, as members have not only performed with Buffett on several occasions but have also contributed as part of his band. Their shows consistently attract fans, creating a sense of community among Parrot Heads from around the country.
The ABAC Tribute Series aims to celebrate both original artists and tribute acts that pay homage to some of the most celebrated performers in the realms of rock, soul, country, and rhythm and blues. Each event in the series begins at 19:00, with doors opening at 18:30.
