
Louise A. Clark, a cherished mother and former IBM employee, passed away peacefully at the age of 97 on September 21, 2025, in Ulster Park, New York. Born on December 23, 1927, in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, she was the daughter of the late Angelo and Louise Naccarato Altomari.
In addition to her extensive career at IBM, where she worked in Poughkeepsie and Kingston until her retirement in 1985, Louise held positions at Skyline, Sprague Electric, and Hercules. Her professional life was marked by dedication and resilience, traits she carried into her personal life.
Louise was married to the late Frederick H. Clark, who passed away on May 30, 2005. Together, they raised a loving family, and Louise is survived by her children: Shirley Saccoman and her husband, Thomas R., of Southington, Connecticut; Frederick Clark and his wife, Donna, of Rifton, New York; and Dianna Reynolds and her husband, Bruce, of Shokan, New York. She also leaves behind one sister, Carol Van Kleeck of the Town of Ulster, one brother, Michael Altomari of Florida, six grandchildren, and nine great-grandchildren, along with several nieces and nephews.
Louise was an active member of the community, attending Presentation Church in Port Ewen and participating in the Town of Esopus Senior Citizens group. Her leisure activities included bowling, playing bingo, and card games, reflecting her vibrant spirit and love for social interaction.
She was predeceased by her great-grandson, Pearson Reynolds, and four sisters: Dolores Cafaldo, Theresa Dachenhausen, Bernice Jurkowski, and Barbara Bruno. Two brothers, Angelo (Bobby) Altomari and Joseph Altomari, also preceded her in death.
Friends and family are invited to pay their respects on Wednesday, September 24, 2025, from 16:00 to 19:00 at the Gilpatric-VanVliet Funeral Home, located at 339 Broadway, Ulster Park, NY. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held the following day, September 25, 2025, at 10:00 at Immaculate Conception Church in Kingston, followed by burial at St. Mary’s Cemetery in Kingston.

Louise A. Clark’s life was one of commitment to family, faith, and community. Her legacy will undoubtedly continue through her children and grandchildren, who carry forward the values she instilled in them.
