get-it-aims-for-victory-at-southwell-after-wokingham-success

This Sunday, horse racing fans can look forward to an exciting day of events at both Plumpton and Southwell, with key races broadcast live on Sky Sports Racing. Among the notable participants is the promising horse Get It, who is seeking to regain his winning form in the 4.07 Southwell Free Bets On attheraces.com Handicap, a competitive race featuring a field of 14.

The talented speedster, trained by George Baker, has had a remarkable season, securing two victories at Ascot, including the prestigious Wokingham Stakes in June. Following a less successful outing at Goodwood, where he finished below expectations, Get It now makes a switch to all-weather racing in hopes of bouncing back.

Challenging Get It in this race will be Against The Wind, who has demonstrated strong form with two wins from three all-weather starts. The horse previously prevailed over this course and distance earlier in the summer, and despite a recent loss, remains a contender. Adrestia, who has placed at Goodwood and Beverley in her last two outings, is also expected to be a strong competitor.

Moving to the 6.15 Southwell race, Forty Years On is looking to extend her winning streak to four in the Download The At The Races App Fillies’ Handicap. The filly, also trained by George Scott, achieved a hat-trick this year and impressed on her handicap debut at Ascot earlier this month. With only a four-pound penalty to carry, she appears well-positioned for another strong performance.

Additionally, Maybe Not, who has consistently finished in the top three in all five starts this season, remains a horse to watch. Other notable entrants include Arabian Legend and Bellarchi, both of whom add depth to this competitive field.

At Plumpton, the 3.50 race features a small but distinguished group of competitors in the Friends & Family Remembering Norman Sharpe Handicap Hurdle. Howth has excelled since transitioning to hurdles, winning four of his five races under the guidance of trainer Tom Lacey. He is expected to be a solid option in this event.

In contrast, Aucunrisque, a winner of the Betfair Hurdle in 2023, has struggled in recent starts but could find form again. Paul Nicholls and Harry Cobden team up with Brave Knight, who will be looking for a stronger outing after facing tougher competition at Market Rasen.

As the day progresses, the racing community will also be keenly watching events at Sha Tin, where jockeys David Probert and Richard Kingscote will be vying for success in their respective races.

The action-packed day promises to deliver thrilling moments for horse racing enthusiasts, with each race offering a unique blend of talent and competition. Fans can stay updated with the latest news, interviews, and features from the world of horse racing, ensuring they won’t miss a moment of the excitement.
