Amazon has scheduled its annual fall hardware event for September 30, 2025, in New York City. The invitation hints at the introduction of new Kindle, Echo, and Fire TV products. This will mark the company’s first significant hardware unveiling since Panos Panay took charge of its Devices and Services division in late 2023.
While the invitation does not specify the exact devices to be announced, it invites guests to join Panos Panay and the Amazon Devices & Services team for the presentation. Notably, the invitation features the phrase “stroke of a pen” alongside a color Kindle, suggesting a potential new model of the Kindle Scribe may be on the horizon.
New Kindle Devices on the Way
It has been some time since Amazon released an entry-level Kindle. The company did refresh its Scribe and Colorsoft devices recently, but there are expectations for a new version of the popular Kindle Paperwhite to be announced during the upcoming event. Although Amazon hosted a smaller, Kindle-only gathering in October 2024, it did not hold a significant hardware event that year.
Echo and Fire TV Updates Anticipated
In addition to new Kindle offerings, Amazon is also expected to reveal updates to its Echo line of smart speakers. The last major update for this product line occurred in November 2024, with the introduction of the new Echo Show 15 and a larger Echo Show 21. However, other devices in the Echo lineup, such as the Echo Dot, have not been updated since the launch of the 5th generation in September 2022. The upcoming event could see the introduction of new Echo products featuring the next-generation Alexa+ assistant.
Furthermore, the invitation hints at a new range of Fire TV products. It has been a couple of years since Amazon expanded its offerings in this category with new Fire TVs and related streaming sticks.
As anticipation builds, more details are expected to emerge in the coming weeks leading up to the event. Consumers and technology enthusiasts alike are encouraged to stay tuned for updates regarding the announcements on September 30, 2025.
