2025 On The Hill Legislative Summit

Jack and Jill of America, Inc. - 2025 On The Hill Legislative Summit

Jack and Jill of America, Inc. has announced its tenth biennial On the Hill (OTH) Legislative Teen Summit, scheduled for September 19–22, 2025, in Washington, D.C. This year’s summit, themed “Amplifying Our Voices,” will bring together nearly 800 teenagers from across the United States to engage in legislative advocacy and leadership development.

The summit emphasizes the importance of youth participation in shaping a more equitable future. National President Darlene Whittington stated, “When our children step onto Capitol Hill, they do not come as visitors—they come as visionaries. Jack and Jill is proud to amplify their voices because we know that today’s advocates are tomorrow’s lawmakers, judges, and presidents. They are not the leaders of someday—they are leading now.”

Empowering Future Leaders

Participants will have the opportunity to explore their voices, enhance their leadership skills, and take on their roles as changemakers. The summit will feature a variety of workshops, forums, and cultural events focused on civic engagement and community impact. Notable highlights include the State of the Black Family forum, the Teen Moguls JNJ Tank edition—a platform for youth entrepreneurship—and the Legacy Amplified president’s reception.

The summit will culminate with the Jack and Jill Takes the Hill event, where attendees will have the chance to meet with their lawmakers to advocate for important issues. This event underscores the commitment of Jack and Jill of America to empower youth and promote civic responsibility.

A Legacy of Leadership

Founded in 1938, Jack and Jill of America Inc. focuses on nurturing future African American leaders through a variety of programs that stimulate children’s growth and development. With 271 chapters nationwide, the organization represents over 50,000 family members, making it one of the largest and most influential African American family organizations in the United States.

As the On the Hill 2025 summit approaches, Jack and Jill of America Inc. prepares to welcome hundreds of young leaders to Washington. The event not only serves as a celebration of youth leadership but also as a vital call to action, allowing Black youth to honor their legacy while shaping a brighter future. These teens are not merely amplifying their voices—they are leading a movement grounded in purpose, resilience, and the unwavering pursuit of justice.
