BREAKING: Comedian Jon Reep, the 2007 winner of NBC’s Last Comic Standing, has been arrested on multiple felony charges related to child sexual exploitation in North Carolina. Reep, known for his appearances in Dodge Ram commercials, was taken into custody on September 5, 2025, following a cyber tip that led authorities to investigate disturbing allegations.
The investigation was initiated after the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children alerted law enforcement on April 15, 2025. This prompted a search warrant execution at an IP address linked to Reep, where electronic devices were seized for forensic analysis. On September 2, a grand jury in Catawba County issued an indictment charging Reep with one count of second-degree sexual exploitation of a minor and nine counts of third-degree sexual exploitation. The alleged victims are minors aged between 1 and 14 years old.
Following his arrest, Reep posted a secured bond of $260,000 and was released from the Catawba County Detention Facility. His next court appearance is set for September 8, 2025. This incident has already disrupted his professional commitments, leading to the rescheduling of a show in Goldsboro and the cancellation of a performance on his “Popsicle Tour” scheduled for September 14 at the Dothan Opera House, with refunds being processed.
