According to the Utah Department of Public Safety, the collision occurred around 17:15 in the northbound lanes when a woman in her 90s entered the highway traveling in the wrong direction.
The woman’s vehicle collided head-on with a Toyota SUV, which resulted in the fatalities of the SUV’s sole occupant and two additional passengers. Authorities confirmed that two other individuals in the SUV sustained injuries but were transported to a hospital with survivable conditions.
