anticipation-builds-as-netflix-reveals-trailer-for-alice-in-borderland-season-3

Netflix has ignited excitement among fans with the release of the first full trailer for Alice in Borderland Season 3. The popular series, based on Haro Aso’s manga, returns to screens on September 25, 2025, showcasing the gripping narrative that captivated audiences during its first two seasons.

The new trailer reveals the pivotal characters Arisu and Usagi as they navigate the perilous world of Borderland once again. This season promises high-stakes challenges, highlighted by the introduction of a mysterious “Joker” stage. The footage hints at a dramatic storyline where Arisu is seen racing against time to save Usagi, who finds herself ensnared in a fresh set of life-threatening games.

In this season, viewers will witness the characters separated into different teams, each relying on new allies to survive in a brutal environment. The trailer teases intense scenarios, including a train crash, a strategic dice game, and a shrine under a barrage of flaming arrows.

Kento Yamazaki, who portrays Arisu, expressed his enthusiasm about the evolving dynamics within the series. He noted, “Since Arisu and Usagi are split into separate teams, I found it interesting to see the different atmospheres and character dynamics within each group. Over the seasons, the characters have become so beloved by fans, and I think that’s why the audience can really empathize with them during the life-or-death moments.”

His co-star, Tao Tsuchiya, who plays Usagi, reflected on the importance of the character’s journey, stating, “Everything Usagi has experienced in the past seasons is now part of her story, so whenever I needed to, I would go back and rewatch Seasons 1 and 2. With Season 3 featuring an original story, I felt it was important to approach this role with everything that’s happened so far in mind.”

The introduction of the “Joker” stage is particularly noteworthy. Yamazaki described the flaming arrows sequence as “striking in the original manga,” sharing his excitement when he first read the script. “When I read the manga, I was blown away by the flaming arrows. When I saw the script for this scene, I thought, ‘It’s here!’”

Tsuchiya encouraged fans to pay close attention to the dice game, suggesting that the increasing desperation of the players amplifies the drama. “As the players become more desperate, everyone’s performances become more intense and dramatic. I think this game really captures the essence of Alice in Borderland,” she said.

As anticipation mounts for the third season, Alice in Borderland is set to continue its legacy as one of Japan’s most watched shows on Netflix. With a blend of original storytelling and beloved characters, fans are eager to see how the narrative unfolds when it debuts later this month.
