Drake has achieved another milestone in his illustrious career as his single “What Did I Miss?” climbs to No. 1 on Billboard’s Rhythmic Airplay chart, marking one of his fastest ascents to the top. The chart, dated August 23, reflects a significant surge in plays, with the song experiencing a 13% increase on U.S. rhythmic radio stations during the tracking week of August 8-14, according to data from Luminate.

This latest achievement extends Drake’s record for the most No. 1 hits on the Rhythmic Airplay chart to an impressive total of **42**. The artist has now secured three chart-toppers in 2025, following his previous hits: “Nokia,” which spent two weeks at the top in May, and the collaborative track “Somebody Loves Me” with PARTYNEXTDOOR, which was a one-week leader in July.

Drake Dominates the Rhythmic Airplay Chart

Drake’s consistent success on the Rhythmic Airplay chart further solidifies his dominance in the music industry. Since the chart’s inception in October 1992, he has outpaced all other artists significantly. The current leaderboard for the most No. 1s on Rhythmic Airplay is as follows:

42 – Drake
17 – Rihanna
16 – The Weeknd
14 – Chris Brown
13 – Bruno Mars
13 – Lil Wayne
13 – Usher

“What Did I Miss?” reaches the top in just its sixth week on the chart, joining the ranks of five other Drake songs that have also made a swift climb to No. 1 in six weeks. These include collaborations and solo hits, such as his feature on Rihanna’s “Work,” “One Dance” with WizKid and Kyla, “Nice for What,” “Way 2 Sexy” featuring Young Thug and Future, and “Rich Baby Daddy” with Sexyy Red and SZA. Notably, Drake’s tracks “God’s Plan” and “Toosie Slide” topped the chart even faster, each doing so in five weeks, while “In My Feelings” achieved the feat in just four weeks.

In addition to its success on the Rhythmic Airplay chart, “What Did I Miss?” has climbed from No. 3 to No. 2 on the audience-based Rap Airplay chart, reflecting a 10% increase in listenership. The track has also moved from No. 8 to No. 6 on the plays-based Mainstream R&B/Hip-Hop Airplay chart, with a 9% rise in plays.

New Collaborations on the Horizon

Drake is poised for further success with his collaboration with British rapper Central Cee. Their single “Which One” has made notable progress, advancing from No. 29 to No. 23 in its second week on the Rhythmic Airplay chart, thanks to a remarkable 49% increase in plays.

As Drake continues to break records and release new music, his presence in the music industry remains formidable. With his unique ability to connect with audiences and deliver chart-topping hits, he is likely to maintain his status as a leading figure in contemporary music for years to come.
