Community Day in Mahanoy City is set for September 13, offering a unique blend of entertainment and local culture. Sponsored by the Mahanoy Area Chamber of Commerce, this annual celebration will feature passenger train rides operated by the Reading & Northern Railroad. The train will embark on a scenic journey through the historic Buck Mountain Tunnel to the Tamaqua yard. Trains will depart from 100 E. Vine St. at 11:00, 13:00, and 15:00 for a 70-minute round trip. Annual Senior Expo and Farm to Table Dinner Highlight Community Engagement
